Remembering Chase Arnett Mon., July 11 was the oneyear anniversary of the auto accident in Thousand Oaks that killed Chase Arnett. His grieving parents have been trying to change the laws regarding the probationary period for newly licensed drivers. As residents of Club View Properties, we, too, have been trying to change things so this won’t happen again. As a community, whave appeared before and petitioned the Transportation Commitee for a three-way boulevard stoat Club View Drive and ValleSpring Drive. We have done thiwith the additional support omany of the residents who live oValley Spring Drive. As residents, we are at risk every time we make a left turn eithein or out of our complex becausof the poor visibility and sight lineHad there been a stop sign at CluView, the driver of the truck in thaccident that killed Chase Arnemight have at least slowed downEven though none of us know the Arnett family, this terrible accdent, which ended up directly behind the patio of one of our residentshas affected us all. We feel greasympathy for the Arnett family. Marilyn N. Hankins Westlake Village |
