Future Foundation extends its deadline for youth sports award

Saturday, Nov. 19 the Conejo/ Las Virgenes Future Foundation is presenting its Fifth Annual CLvFFie (pronounced “cliffy”) Awards Program at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks.

The prestigious award recognizes individuals and organizations who have made a positive impact on the community through extraordinary service, volunteerism, monetary donations and/or significant achievements. And for the first year in its history, a CLvFFie will be awarded in the category of youth sports.

For this reason, the deadline for submitting nominations for this category has been extended from June 30 to July 15.

Nominations may be made by anyone who lives or works in the area. Nominees should be individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to the youth of the Conejo/Las Virgenes area through sports-related activities.

These may include long time coaches, organizers of drives to construct new fields or facilities, individuals who help to manage youth sports organizations, individuals who find innovative ways to promote teamwork and sportsmanship, or others involved in ways not previously mentioned.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation website at www.clvff.org.

All nominations will be reviewed by a committee of community leaders and the CLVFF.

Finalists will be notified in September and will be the guests at the celebration dinner.

For further details, please visit the website or call the CLVFF at (818) 880-1054.
