Nominations accepted

Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation invites nominations for their new Youth Sports award. The nomination deadline is Fri., July 15.

Finalists will be notified in September and be guests at the dinner and awards program on Sat., Nov. 19 at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks where the recipient will be announced.

Nominees must either reside or work in the Conejo and Las Virgenes area and should be individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to local youth through sports-related activities. Nominees may include long-time coaches, persons who organize drives to construct new fields or facilities, individuals who help manage youth sports organizations, individuals who find innovative ways to promote teamwork and sportsmanship or those involved in ways not mentioned.

The Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made a positive impact on the community through extraordinary service, volunteerism, monetary donations and/or significant achievements.

Awards will be presented in eight categories: the arts, business/professional, community service, education, government/ public service, health care, public safety and youth sports.
