Air Force Airman First Class John A. Mucci has graduated from basic military training with distinction as an honor graduate at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Mucci is the son of John and Lindy Mucci of Agoura Hills and a 2004 graduate of Agoura High School.

Philip Shapiro has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force after completing the Reserved Officer Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history from the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va. He is a 2001 graduate of Agoura High School and the son of Harvey M. Shapiro of Calabasas and Trudy Shapiro of Thousand Oaks.
