Good deeds done

Wanted to say a big thank you to Nick Rimmele and Boy Scout Troop No. 127 who worked tirelessly on Sat., June 11 at the Cheseboro equestrian trail, which links the Agoura Equestrian Center to the National Park Service Cheseboro parksite.

I came across Nick and the rest of his helpers on Saturday as I was riding my horse to the Cheseboro park site. Ever since the rains, this connector trail has been not only washed out but full of trash. Nick and his crew redirected the trail, cleaned up the creek (which flows to Paramount Ranch and Malibu Lake) and widened the trail for multi-user use.

Thanks also to Mike Malone of the National Park Service, who coordinated this event. Mike and the NPS staff has made this trail as well as the Cheseboro Park area one of the best places to trail ride with a horse. Vince Curtis Oak Park
