Beach buses ready to roll

The Calabasas Community Services Department has announced that the city’s annual summer beach bus program will be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through Aug. 26.

The bus ride to Zuma Beach will cost $1 each way, payable when boarding the bus. For a copy of the bus schedule, please call (818) 880-6461.

The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services said its Summer ’05 Beach Bus program has started. Open to all ages, the service makes four round trips daily to Zuma Beach, Monday through Saturday, until Aug. 19.

Before boarding, riders must present a picture identification, such as a school ID or driver’s license. This service costs $1 each way and riders must have exact change.

The scheduled stops for the Agoura Hills Beach Bus are Lindero Canyon Middle School, Agoura High School and Liberty Canyon/Agoura Road. Bus schedules are available at the Agoura Hills City Hall, the Agoura Hills Recreation Center or the Agoura Hills Library.

Bus riders are cautioned that due to unforeseeable traffic congestion, the scheduled times may be subject to change without notice.
