Catholic preschool open for registration

Notre Dame Learning Center, a new preschool and childcare facility for children between 3 and 5 years of age, will be accepting registration

during July and August for the fall. Located adjacent to

La Reina High School in

Thousand Oaks, the pre

school will offer education in

the 155-year tradition of the

Sisters of Notre Dame and

will open on Sept. 6. Al

though the philosophy and

programs of the preschool

“will be distinctly Catholic in

nature,” according to Sr. Lisa

Megaffin, children of all

faith backgrounds are wel

come to attend.

Features of the program

will include structured and unstructured learning experiences, intergenerational activities and strong parental involvement.

Registration is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Wed., July 6 and Tues., Aug. 2. Parents are asked to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate and the yellow immunization record.
