Swedes sponsor celebration

The Swedish American Central Association of Southern California will sponsor its 85th annual Midsummer celebration 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sun., June 26 at Vasa Park, 2854 Triunfo Canyon Road, Agoura.

Breakfast will be served 9 to 11 a.m. and lunch beginning at 11 a.m. The Midsummer Pole will be raised at noon, followed by traditional ring dancing and singing to Swedish folk music by Vastkustens Spelmanslag. Children’s activities include races, and a swimming pool and water slide from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
