Camps bring drama to T.O Registration is underway for several specialty camps offered by Creative Acting Theatre School (C.A.T.S.). Children ages 8 through 12 can be Hogwarts students at the Harry Potter Wizardry and Literacy Camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon. through Fri., Aug. 1 through 5. The fee is $150. The young wizards will reenact favorite scenes from the book series for parents and friends on the last day of camp at 4 p.m. A guest author will visit. Youth ages 9 through 12 can explore the world of forensic science and solve a crime at the Crime Scene Investigators Camp 9 a.m. to noon Mon. through Fri., Aug. 15 through 19. The cost is $100. Students will search for clues at a mock crime scene. Special guests such as police detectives, crime scene investigators and attorneys may visit the camp. Both camps will be held at the Cameron Center, Thousand Oaks in partnership with the Conejo Recreation and Park District. Camp Broadway Bound lets kids age 7 through 12 rehearse the musical “Snow White” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then perform the show for parents and friends on the last evening of class. The cost is $130 plus a $15 production fee. The camp will be offered June 20 through 24 at White Oak Elementary School, Westlake Village; July 11 through 15 at Rancho Simi Park Amphitheatre, Simi Valley; July 25 through 29 at Arroyo Vista Center, Moorpark and Aug. 8 through 12 at the Thousand Oaks Center, Thousand Oaks.
