Mystery ad

I expect to go to The Acorn and find out the facts and most of the time, I think you do an excellent job. However, the ad you took from some group called “Friends of the Environment” contained lies about Mary Wiesbrock of Save Open Space, a prime mover and activist in the saving of Ahmanson Ranch.

The ad was funny to those of us who know Mary, because she makes up her own mind about issues and holds steadily to causes and actions she believes in. To accuse her of being in the control of anybody else or any group is ludicrous, but this “advertisement” went ahead and did just that!

Who are these anonymous people who took out this ad? If they have an opinion, why don’t they put their own names to it instead of hiding behind a “paid political advertisement?” Janna Orkney Oak Park
