Los Robles to sponsor 50+ health fair

Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center will sponsor its ninth annual 50+ Health Fair from 8 a.m.

to noon Sat., June 11 in the gymnasium at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

The fair will feature 16 tests and screenings valued at more than $900 for only $15. In addition to the screenings, the price includes a membership to H2U, a national senior adult health-oriented organization, as well as drawings for 25 free bone density assessment tests.

“Our age 50+ adults are a vital part of our community,” said Irene Brennick, health fair coordinator and hospital community services director. “By providing inexpensive medical screenings, we hope to encourage those who are not focused on their health to begin to take steps towards better healthcare.” Some of the tests and screenings include blood screening (8-hour fast required), lipid profile (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides), foot screening, vision check, hand screening and body fat analysis.

Pre-registration is encouraged by filling out a health fair registration form which can be obtained by calling (805) 370-4888, or register at the door the day of the event.
