In other library news, adults and children are invited to visit the Friends of Agoura Hills Library Book Cellar, open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

in a side room in the library’s underground parking garage, 29901 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills.

Paperbacks start at fifty cents and hardbacks start at one dollar.

The Friends accept books, magazines and audiovisual materials for the Cellar. Funds raised by the sale of donated materials supplement county funds for collections, programs, upgrades and supplies.

Excess book donations not used by the library or Cellar are donated to the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks and shipped to libraries in Romania so people can learn and practice their English language skills. Other excess books are donated to nursing homes, hospitals and prison facilities.
