No need for Lowe’s big box

I moved my family here a year ago from my dream house in Marina del Rey near the beach. Why did we move 40 miles from all our family and friends? The great schools, the lack of traffic, the clean air, and the nice way that the communities out here in Agoura, Calabasas, Westlake, and Thousand Oaks are planned.

These planned communities take families and their needs into account from the very start. So why are we even considering letting a Lowe’s create a big box blight on our neighborhood?

To meet our needs, we can drive to the existing Home Depot, two local Do-It Centers, and numerous other established independent stores.

Why then would we allow big box retailers like Lowe’s to encroach into areas where there are already enough stores to meet our needs? This makes no sense to me.

Keep Lowe’s out.
