Bank backed out On May 11, we attended the Agoura Hills City Council meeting because they were honoring our teacher and coach, Tracy Spencer, who helped the Sheriff’s Department catch a man who tried to rob the Bank of America on Kanan Road in Agoura Hills over spring break. At the meeting, both the Sheriff’s Department and the Mayor pro tem of Agoura Hills recognized Spencer for his bravery and selflessness. He even received a standing ovation from the community members who attended the meeting for other reasons. We thought it was strange that no one from the Bank of America attended the meeting. The bank has not recognized Spencer for all that he did. If it wasn’t for him, the bank could be out a lot of money. Concerned citizens and Agoura High School students would like to thank Spencer for putting himself out there for the city and being a hero. Beth Pauline, teacher Agoura Hills High School |
