Sheriff’s Blotter

Westlake Village

Authorities arrested Martin Wolf, a 40-year-old Westlake Village resident, in connection with two bank robberies that occurred March 30 within 20 minutes of each other.

Wolf allegedly attempted to rob the Bank of America on Kanan Road in Agoura Hills but was unsuccessful, said Lt. Steven Wilson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A witness provided a license plate number and authorities connected the vehicle to a Westlake Village address. Following that lead, authorities were called to another robbery, also in Westlake Village.

This time, the suspect allegedly got an undisclosed amount of money from a teller at the First California Bank on Agoura Road.

The suspect reportedly drove home after the robbery attempt in Agoura. He parked his car and took a bicycle to the second bank.

The FBI is investigating whether the two robberies are linked to other recent bank robberies in the area, including one about three weeks ago at the same First California Bank.
