Westlake Village Art Guild sponsors juried art show

High school seniors in Conejo Valley are invited to participate in a juried art show sponsored by the Westlake Village Art Guild. The exhibition will be held March 16 through 25 at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery at 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.

Submission categories are: watercolor/watermedia; oil and acrylic; computer art; 3D ceramic, sculpture and construction; photography—film and digital; drawing; mixed media/collage and printmaking.

Winners in each category will receive award certificates and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Art Guild member Ned Morgan will present a special award in memory of his father, Irv Morgan. The winners will be invited to display their art at Graphaids in Agoura Hills.

Judges are Art Hernandez, retired fine arts instructor and former gallery owner; Pete Teti, USC graduate with master’s degree in Photography and Fine Arts; and Gerald Scheib, art instructor at Los Angeles Mission College with emphasis in 3D design and jewelry.
