Scholarship competition announced

The Simi/Conejo Chapter No. 254 of the National Association of Women in Construction has announced that two scholarships, each in the amount of $500, will be awarded this spring, one to a local high school student and the other to a local junior college student.

Students who are taking classes in any construction-related field earning a B average or better will be considered. An internship will also be given to the winning students. Examples of related fields are architecture, drafting, design, financing, project management or any other business-related field of study.

Deadline for all scholarship applications is Tues., March 15. Winners will be recognized at Industry Appreciation Night on April 12 at the Los Robles Greens Banquet Center.
