Maintenance equipment valued at $900, including a pressure washer, a circular saw and a cordless drill, was stolen from the maintenance room of a homeowner association at an undisclosed location. The incident occurred the night of Feb. 15

Someone damaged several vending machines in an office at an undisclosed location between Feb. 18 and Feb. 22. The damages were estimated at $3,000.

A victim reported someone attempted to pay for the car he had listed for sale on the Internet with a forged money order. The counterfeiter deliberately overpaid for the car by sending a check for $16,000. The car was listed for about $10,000. When the victim e-mailed the check writer to advise him about the overpayment, the forger asked the victim to wire funds back. The victim didn’t do this. This scheme is common on the Web.

Westlake Village

A bank robber walked into the First California Bank in the 32000 block of Agoura Road and stole money from a teller. According to Sheriff’s deputies, no weapons were used.The bank manager and the teller said the robber was a white male in his 30s wearing a light blue, long-sleeved jacket with a hood pulled over his head. There were no customers in the bank.

Vandals caused $1,000 in damages to a person’s private property between 4:30 and 6:20 p.m. Feb. 28 in the 400 block of North Lakeview Canyon Road.
