Lindero Canyon?

Question? Why are they installing a traffic light on Lindero Canyon at the future site of a new school? There is no school yet—there is no cross traffic—there are no houses—nothing.

Meanwhile, our complex has had a fatality accident because of speeding on Valley Spring Boulevard, and we have been requesting either a signal or a three-way stop at our entrance at Clubview Road and Valley Spring Boulevard since the fatal accident last spring which took the life of a 13-year-old boy. Either alternative would give our residents a fighting chance to make a safe right or left turn in or out of our complex—and more importantly—it would slow down the traffic on Valley Spring between Westlake Boulevard and the entrance to the North Ranch Country Club.

Do you know the reasoning behind moving ahead with what appears to be a traffic signal where none is needed at present and ignoring the safety of local residents who live along Valley Spring Boulevard?
