Reader supports

J. Guidetti

Our family was very distressed to read the article on J. Guidetti’s troubles at Calabasas High. Having had two children attend there (classes of 2000 and 2004), we can attest to the good Guidetti has done for the students of that school.

In her junior year, our daughter was very ill and missed a tremendous amount of time at school. At the onset of her illness and upon her return, her teachers were not very supportive and she was under terrible stress. On her own, she sought out Guidetti who offered her the emotional and administrative support she needed.

The fact that a student felt she could go to the principal of such a large student population and get the one-on-one support she received says so much about the man J. Guidetti is. We feel strongly to this day that without him, our daughter would have left Calabasas High for another school and would not have had the joy of graduating with her friends.

We ask all parents of current and future Calabasas High students to stand up and speak out in support of a wonderful principal.
