Volunteers sought for area nursing homes

Friends to the Elderly is seeking caring volunteers to visit lonely older adults in nursing homes or board and care facilities located throughout the greater Los Angeles area and San Fernando and Conejo Valleys.

This is a nonsectarian program of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles (JFS-LA) that serves older persons of all faiths through the recruitment of qualified volunteers who are then matched to residents of long-term care facilities near their home or work. Volunteers will receive training and continuing support from the JFS-LA staff.
