Leaders will bring positive change

As concerned, longtime Calabasas residents and community activists, we strongly support James Bozajian, Mary Sue Maurer and Jonathan Wolfson for city council.

James Bozajian has been a voice of reason and civility on the council. He is endorsed by the Calabasas Park Homeowners Association. He deserves reelection. Unfortunately, some of his fellow councilmembers have been caught up for years in divisive political feuds. Their incivility and bickering has resulted in years of delayed decisions on our proposed civic center. These delays are costing Calabasas taxpayers needless millions of dollars.

It’s time for a change. Responsive, professional, effective council members like James Bozajian and Barry Groveman deserve to be joined on the council by respected community activists like Mary Sue Maurer and Jonathan Wolfson. These new leaders will bring maturity, professionalism and a refreshing, positive change to city hall.

Mary Sue Maurer is endorsed by the Calabasas Park HOA. She is a Calabasas education commissioner. As a homeowner leader, she led the successful fight to bring the new A.C. Stelle Middle School to our community. She will fight to support and improve our local schools.

Jonathan Wolfson is a respected Calabasas planning commissioner. A successful attorney and businessman, he will eliminate bureaucratic waste and bring fiscal responsibility and accountability to city hall.

Please remind your friends and neighbors to vote in this important election on March 8.
