Harrison gets reader’s support

I am writing to thank Michael Harrison for his work over the past four years and to pledge my full support to his reelection.

Michael has been a fighter for the environment and for quality-of-life issues in Calabasas. He is constantly fighting overdevelopment battles and developing innovative ideas to our great city. But what has really impressed me is Michael’s commitment to protecting our kids’ education.

When the state budget crisis resulted in a massive loss of revenue for the Las Virgenes Unified School District, Michael stepped up instantly. He developed the Calabasas Education Fund, and the city has given more than $1 million to protect the integrity of Calabasas classrooms. Without Michael, I cannot imagine where our kids would be.

Michael also created the Calabasas Education Commission and serves on the city/schools partnership committee, doing what he can to ensure that the city of Calabasas and the school district work collaboratively.

Michael is, in no uncertain terms, a proven leader and a city council member whom every resident can trust.
