Sibilia: Proven record of service

It is election time and the Calabasas Council candidates are everywhere, as are their signs. They are knocking on doors and their supporters are writing testimonials to The Acorn. My daughters are excited about voting for the first time.

Our family is voting for Bob Sibilia. Hopefully, more people of all ages will vote in this important election. How do we voters distinguish one candidate from another? They all seem to be perfect for the position: well-educated, qualified, dedicated, hard-working and gifted at multi-tasking.

But read between the lines. Some candidates claim to have been the head of every committee ever created. Others use the coveted council seat as a stepping stone to a higher office.

Bob Sibilia has been there before, and he has a proven record of commitment and service to our city. As a council member and mayor, Bob was the glue that kept the council together, during what seemed at times to be chaos. His values closely represent ours and those of most parents here in Calabasas.

We are confident that he will again provide the type of leadership that our city deserves. Fanfare is not part of his agenda. No candidate will work harder than Bob to continue to improve our great city. Bob has integrity without ego. He has proven that he cares for the right reasons, and that is why he has our vote.

Bring back Bob.
