Calabasas deserves new candidates

The other day I received a letter from a group of community activists. It made me think twice about the upcoming election. I am often embarrassed by what I see when I watch our Calabasas City Council sessions on TV.

Mayor Harrison and Councilmember Devine are often downright rude, insulting and condescending, not only to each other and others who serve the city, but also to residents of Calabasas who appear before the council. They both have long track records of this behavior and, frankly, I’m tired of it.

Calabasas deserves better than this. I’ve decided to vote for fresh, new candidates to replace Harrison and Devine on the council. Thankfully, we have other fine candidates, like Planning Commissioner Jon Wolfson to choose from.
