Video festival open to youth The Thousand Oaks Arts Commission, in conjunction with Adelphia, Conejo Recreation & Park District and the Brooks Institute, have announced the seventh annual Conejo Teen Video Festival. The competition is open to all teenagers ages 19 or younger, who live in Ventura County or near the Conejo Valley. All entries must be written, directed and filmed by the teenagers working on each video project. The final entry is limited to 10 minutes in length. Entry categories are documentary, fiction and music video. Entry fee is $10 Conejo Valley residents, $15 nonresidents. Free video workshops will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Sat., March 5 at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, for novice filmmakers and on Sat., March 19 for editing. To register for these workshops, call the Teen Center at (805) 494-5156.
