Foundation selects five new trustees

Five new trustees have been selected to serve on the board of the Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation (CLVFF), a nonprofit, apolitical "think tank" created 33 years ago to study such issues as education, youth, housing and social concerns specific to the Conejo-Las Virgenes area.

Audrey Brown, assistant city manager of Westlake Village, and Greg Ramirez, city manager of Agoura Hills will help CLVFF formulate future goals on growth issues.

Robert Hammer, chairman and chief executive officer of R.K. Hammer Investment Bankers of Thousand Oaks, also will serve on the board. Captain Tom Martin of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station is expected to tap into his expertise on crime and crime prevention.

Margaret Travers, president of the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley and executive director of the Ventura County Arts Council, was also chosen for the panel.

In addition, new board officers were installed. Steve Wiley, recreation services manager for the Conejo Recreation and Parks Dept. was named chairman. Carl Herman, former CLVFF secretary is vice chair, and Melissa Reinhardt serves as secretary. Gary Weiss was installed as treasurer, while Jeff Blum, past chair, rounds out the five-member governing committee.
