Pillow Theatre introduces young kids to performing arts

The Music Center of Los Angeles County will present Eth-Noh-Tec as part of the Pillow Theatre series at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Pillow Theatre performances by imaginative artists in music, theatre and dance engage children ages 3 to 6 years old and their families in lively shows that encourage creative thinking.

The performance by Eth-Noh-Tec will at 10:30 and 11:45 a.m. Sat., Feb. 12. Kids will be asked to travel through their imaginations with tales about tricksters, gods and goddesses, heroes and heroines and even the supernatural.

They’ll be treated to a patchwork quilt of Eastern and Western ideas told through a seamless weaving of theatre, dance and music. Characters will spring to life with a playful blend of movement, dance rhythmic dialogue and lively facial expressions.

Each performance will be followed by a free interactive arts workshop in the Blue Ribbon Garden, weather permitting.

Walt Disney Concert Hall is at 111 S. Grand Ave. at the south end of the Music Center Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. Parking is available in Walt Disney Concert Hall garage (entrance on Hope Street) for $8.
