Activities for seniors

Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District will offer a number of recreational activities this winter for senior adults at the Oak Park Community Center, 1000 Kanan Road, Oak Park.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fri., Feb. 11 a Valentine’s luncheon will be presented featuring music, lunch and beverages.

Two workshops will be offered in February and March. "Scam and Fraud" will be addressed by a speaker from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department from 10 to 11 a.m. Thurs., Feb. 24. Participants will learn how to protect themselves from unscrupulous people. "Health and Stress" is the subject of the second workshop, when Dr. Eric Blum discusses how stress affects the body’s overall health. Blum will speak from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tues., March 1.

Ballroom dancing will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tues., March 8.
