Scholarships available

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California/Scholars of Tomorrow Scholarship Program has announced its inaugural college scholarship, offering $25,000 in scholarships to qualified high school students in Los Angeles, Ventura and other counties.

Twenty-five high school seniors who excel in the classroom and demonstrate leadership in the community will be selected to receive $1,000 scholarships to the accredited college or university of their choice.

Applications for the scholarship program were mailed to more than 1,000 public and private high schools throughout the Southland and are available through guidance counselors’ offices. Applications may also be obtained by calling (310) 444-7000. Completed applications must be postmarked by Tues., March 1.
