Robbers sample Candy Cottage

The Candy Cottage and Gift Store on Lindero Canyon Road was robbed Feb. 2 at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.

According to authorities, two people drove to the store at about 3 p.m. One of them brandished a semi-automatic handgun and reportedly demanded money from the cashier.

The thief was wearing a dark- colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.

Once he took the money, the robber rejoined an accomplice who was waiting in a car outside the store, a witness told authorities.

The person in the car is described as a young male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. He was driving a white convertible vehicle, possibility a Ford Mustang, with a chrome luggage rack on the trunk and a black soft top.
