Tsunami relief discontinued

Due to requests for monetary contributions only by relief organizations responding to the needs of tsunami survivors in Asia, the National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) has discontinued its tsunami relief program.

Over the past few weeks NCJW/LA has been accepting donations of clothing, blankets, tents and first aid kits, however, various relief organizations expressed that financial contributions allow them to meet the survivors’ needs in the most efficient manner.

Individuals who are still interested in donating can make monetary contributions at any of the following agencies: American Jewish World Services, CARE, Operation USA, Project HOPE, Relief International, Salvation Army, U.S. Fund for UNICEF and the American Red Cross.
