O.P. elects park officials

It was politics as usual at the Jan. 25 Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council meeting as incumbents Todd Haines and Deena Parry were sworn in to serve second, four-year terms.

Haines was first elected to the MAC in 1995. Parry was elected in 2000.

The council meeting also included a public election for Oak Park Recreation and Park Planning Advisory Committee members. The election was conducted by Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District board members.

Nine candidates vied for five seats. After ballots were collected and counted, the new board members are: incumbent Steve Iceland, Jerry Kaman, Mike Green, Michael Sklar and Steve Wong.

Running unsuccessfully were A.J. Glassman, John Goodman, Michael Robins and Paul Smolarski.
