Kanan Road work underway

The second phase of the long-awaited Kanan Interchange Project is scheduled to begin today. Construction on utility lines will force lane closures on Kanan Road north of the 101 freeway. Expect delays.

City officials said the utilities need to be relocated before actual construction on the interchange can begin. The new configuration will eliminate left-hand turns onto the freeway and increase the number of lanes on the exit ramps.
