Lear jet trip to be auctioned at fundraiser

The Assistance League of Conejo Valley is hosting a fundraising gala that will include a dinner dance and live auction at 6 p.m. Sat., Feb. 26. The annual event raises funds to support many of the philanthropic projects of the Assistance League of Conejo Valley.

One highlight of the evening will be a live auction featuring a three-day trip on a private Lear jet to a location of the winner’s choice. Other auction items up for bid include holidays at vacation homes and a private suite for a Lakers game.

After a cocktail hour, guests will take a private tour of the museum and have a chance to bid on a variety of silent auction items. A formal dinner will precede the live auction. Dancing to the music of Morris Wade and his band will round out the evening.

The Assistance League of Conejo Valley works to improve the lives of children and adults in the local community. Two of the many programs which benefit youth are "What if I’m Home Alone," a safety-awareness program presented in elementary schools; and "Transitional Living Care," which serves young adults leaving the foster care system by providing scholarships and mentoring.
