Westlake accepting nominations

The city of Westlake Village is accepting nominations for the Annual Citizen and Youth Recognition Programs, which identify outstanding youth and adults who have positively impacted the quality of life in their community.

Nominees must be Westlake Village residents; applications must be received by 5 p.m. Fri., Feb. 5.

The Youth of the Year will receive a $500 scholarship while a $500 donation will be made to the Citizen of the Year’s charity of choice. Award recipients will be recommended by the Cultural Recreation Advisory Board and approved by the city council.

Last year’s winners were Jeannie Harrison for the Citizen Award and Rebecca Wahlgren for the Youth Award.
