Medical experts to participate in Roe v. Wade discussion

Event marks 32nd anniversary of court case

To mark the 32nd anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade, the Ventura County Reproductive Rights Network (VCRRN) is presenting an educational program titled "Protect and Defend: Today the Choice Is Yours" at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 23 at Temple Beth Torah, 7620 Foothill Road in Ventura. Assemblymember Hannah-Beth Jackson is the featured speaker.

A panel of legal, medical and religious experts will explore the past, present and future of reproductive rights in the United States. Audience members will have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion.

The VCRRN was formed as a countywide umbrella of pro-choice organizations and individuals to advocate for reproductive rights and to share information regarding issues of reproductive freedom and human sexuality.

Tickets are $15 at the door and students are admitted free.
