Girl scouts to host special registration event at CLU

The Girl Scouts will host an event for girls ages 5 to 9 interested in joining Girl Scouts. The "Urban Campout" will be staged from 9 to 11 a.m. Sat., Jan. 29 on the campus of California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

All campers will participate in the following activities: make edible fire, trail mix and a sit-a-upon. Participants will also receive a "Camping Song Book" and Girl Scout water bottle while meeting new friends.
