Church to launch 40 days of purpose

Christian Church of the Hills (CCH) will launch its "40 Days of Purpose" campaign with a dinner event at 7 p.m. Fri., Jan. 28 at 29295 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Highlighting the dinner will be a video message from Pastor Rick Warren, author of the "The Purpose Driven Life."

Pastor Rex Wolins of CCH said the focus will be on God’s five purposes for people: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism. Along with daily devotional readings, the program will include: weekly theme-oriented messages by the pastor; memorizing one Scripture weekly; weekly meetings in small groups; and a daily email of encouragement.

A church-wide party to celebrate culmination of the special program is planned for March 13. The day will include testimonies from people whose lives have been affected by the campaign, special music from Christian artists and a Ministry Fair, at which participants will have an opportunity to see the church’s different ministries.
