Toastmasters are the talk of the town

Conejo Valley Toastmasters is hosting its inaugural Thousand Oaks/Simi Valley "Speech-A-Thon" at 2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 22 at Borders Bookstore, 125 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Anyone who would like to hear Toastmaster members showcase their oratorical skills is welcome to attend. The mission of the club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
