Agoura Hills A thief stole two rolls of carpet valued at $1,500 from a flatbed trailer parked in the 28900 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard. BMW and Volkswagen emblems were stolen Dec. 23 from two cars parked in the 6000 block of Hackers Lane. The emblems were worth $750. Two hotel vending machines in the 30200 block of Agoura Road were vandalized Dec. 21 between midnight and 5 a.m. A hotel employee reported someone drilled into the vending machines in an attempt to steal cash. Damages were estimated at $200. Someone damaged a mailbox, worth $100, in the 6300 block of Aquarius Avenue between 3:30 and 5 p.m. on Dec 23. Calabasas A mailbox was vandalized Dec. 21 in the 23200 block of Park Ensenada. The victim reported she suspects a temporary mail carrier may have been involved because her dog lunged at him a day earlier when he entered the gated property. She also reported receiving a letter from the post office that informed her she may no longer get mail at her home unless her dog is secured. Damages were estimated at $400. A $110 storage container and clothes were stolen from a school in the 22600 block of Liberty Bell Road. The incident occurred between Dec. 18 and 20. The container, bolted to the ground, had children’s lost-and-found clothes inside it. Items were valued at $100. Someone stole mail from a mailbox in the 25800 block of Piuma Drive between Dec. 22 and 23. The residents indicated they didn’t receive any mail for two days and they found the mailbox open. Westlake Village Toothpaste and a sticky material were smeared between Dec. 21 and 22 on a vehicle parked in front of a home in the 4200 block of Hartfield Court.
