Hebrew Academy dedicates new campus

Under a warm California winter sun and bathed in the light of an enormous Hanukkah menorah, Kadima Hebrew Academy dedicated its permanent home on the Evenhaim Family Campus at 7011 Shoup Ave. in West Hills earlier this month. More than 700 attended the dedication ceremony (Hanukkat HaBayit) to officially mark this milestone in Kadima’s history as the first Jewish day school in the West San Fernando Valley. The VIPs included U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks), L.A. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, L.A. Councilmember Dennis Zine and others.

Kadima President Jerry Arnold and Shawn Evenhaim, who located the site and made a significant donation to provide the school with its long-awaited permanent home, also spoke.
