Christmas display at Reagan Library extended

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum has extended its annual holiday exhibit "Christmas Around the World" through Sun., Jan. 9. due to the popularity of the event.

The previous closing date had been Sun., Jan. 2.

"Christmas Around the World" includes 30 trees decorated to represent cultures and traditions from various countries, most of which President Reagan visited while in office, along with toy soldiers, trains, garland and Christmas music.

Trees on display are from Armenia, Austria, Canada, Iceland, Africa, Russia and other countries. In addition to these 30 trees, a 17-foot-tall tree and a White House tree are displayed in the main museum lobby.

Also on display is an exhibit consisting of many of the menorahs given to President Reagan while in the White House and a Kwanza tree.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is at 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Christmas and New Year’s Day.
