‘Rock In Shabbat’ at Temple Aliyah

Cantor Mike Stein of Temple Aliyah has created a Friday night service welcoming Shabbat with rock and roll music. The Temple will present "Rock In Shabbat" at 8:15 p.m. Fri., Dec. 17 at 6025 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills.

Although many of the prayers for Stein’s "Rock In Shabbat" will be sung with their traditional melodies, many others will be set to rock and roll music. Stein is noted for having performed in rock musicals, performed in Nashville and composed Grammy-nominated children’s musical albums.
