Local architectural firm expands office

Heathcote and Associates Architects, a firm with a 22-year history in Westlake Village, has leased 9,000 square feet of office space in Westlake Village. The five-year lease is valued at more than $1 million. The firm plans to occupy its new headquarters at 3396 Willow Lane beginning this month.

"We needed to increase our staff area to accommodate a growing number of projects," said Gary Heathcote, principal of the firm. He said up to 20 people would be employed at the site.

Established in Westlake Village in 1982, Heathcote and Associates recently completed the Warner Pacific office building on Agoura Road in Westlake Village.

Tony Principe, executive vice president of Westlake Village-based Westcord, represented property owner James Mitchell. Jack Dwyer of NAI Capital Commercial represented Heathcote and Associates.
