Winter break programs available for Agoura Hills youth

The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services will present a "Winter Wonderland" program for children ages 3 to 6 from 9 a.m. to noon Mon. through Thurs., Dec. 20 to 23, at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd. The fee is $20 per day.

Children will learn about snow, the change in weather and fun seasonal animals. Programs include arts and crafts, recreational activities, cooking and other age appropriate activities. Kids should bring along a snack.

For children ages 6 to 10, the Department of Community Services will offer "Winter Caravans" to such destinations as Chuck E. Cheese and the Movies, Lazer Tag, Golf-N-Stuff, bowling and more. The program will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon. through Thurs., Dec. 20 to 23. Campers must wear a yellow T-shirt and bring a sack lunch and drink. Call for fee details.
