Chamber will host economic summit

The Agoura/Oak Park/Las Virgenes Chamber of Commerce will host a regional economic summit at the beginning of the New Year.

City councilmembers and business owners in Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Malibu, Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village are expected to participate. Resources and planning for development along the 101 Freeway corridor will be discussed.

"State-of-the-City messages are fine but they tend to sugarcoat what’s really happening regarding business development and opportunities for tax revenue among cities," said Louis Masry, chairman of government affairs for the Chamber.

The United Chambers of Commerce, the Valley Industry Commerce Association (VICA) the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley and the Valley Economic Development Corporation (VEDC) will participate in the meeting, according to the Chamber.
