Calabasas cable channel offers diverse programming

The Calabasas cable access channel, CTV on Channel 3, offers a variety of programming.

CTV offers live meeting coverage of the city council, planning commission, library commission, parks and recreation commission, traffic and transportation commission, environmental commission, communications and technology commission and the tree board. Most meetings are rebroadcast or can be viewed again at anytime through an archive system via the city’s website that can be found at www.cityofcalabasas.com.

Other programming on CTV includes the following:

"Your City, Your Issues"—A monthly program that highlights individuals and issues in the city of Calabasas. John Loesing, editor of the Thousand Oaks Acorn newspaper, hosts the show.  

"Pumpkin Patch Storytime"—A storytime presentation for children taped at the Calabasas Library.

"Calabasas, A Living History"—Through interviews and archival footage and photographs, host John Loesing explores the history of Calabasas and the people who helped make it a city.

"Calabasas Teen Forum"—A program designed to give teenagers a forum in which to express their views. The show also offers the community an opportunity to learn more about teen issues.

"The Whole Child"—Gives viewers the latest information concerning child development and childcare for the critical years from birth to the age 5. Series host Joanne Hendrick presents comprehensive information in a "down-to-earth, accessible manner," according to CTV representatives.

"American Cinema"—Uses clips from more than 300 of the greatest movies ever made to immerse the viewer in film history and American culture through the eyes of more than 150 Hollywood insiders.
