Look-A-Like features ladies accessories

The Look-A-Like is a one-of-a-kind ladies’ accessories store that carries purses, briefcases, jewelry, overnighter, hats, wallets, shoes, accessories and more. They also feature a great variety of scarves and items inspired by and comparable to such designers as Coach, Chanel, Gucci and others.

The Look-A-Like purse party is available to individuals or charity groups. The store will provide refreshments and door prizes. Charity groups may raise funds or individuals may earn free merchandise. A party may be booked for special holiday gift ideas.

Wig maker in the

self-confidence

business

Judyth Carr, owner of Judyth Carr Custom Hairgoods, keeps alive the vanishing art of wig-making by hand in her home salon in Thousand Oaks. She said she is "in the self-confidence business." Carr provides that self-confidence to cancer patients who are in the middle of or at the end of chemotherapy and have experienced hair loss.

Carr makes her wigs from scratch. After measuring the client’s head, she hand-knots her human hair wigs on a fine net base.

A cancer survivor herself, Carr’s desire is to give back to the community in which she lives. She provides wigs to both men and women undergoing cancer treatment.

Other clients include people of both sexes whose hair is thinning on top.

Carr learned her craft from her husband, a make-up artist and wig-maker for Hungarian National Theatre and movie studios.
