Council member raises totally justified

The top 10 reasons why Calabasas city council members deserve to give themselves a pay raise:

10. Because $566 per month will enable them to live the lavish and extravagant lifestyle they’ve always wanted.

9. The per capita income in Calabasas needed a slight boost to keep up with Beverly Hills.

8. Some of them are Boston Red Sox fans who will soon need extra cash for therapy.

7. The council members felt their monthly stipend should equal the tips that a waiter or waitress makes on a good night at Sagebrush Cantina.

6. They wanted to get into the holiday gift-giving spirit a little early this year.
